Job Title:
Licensing Clerk II
Minimum Salary:
$1,777/month
Description:
This position is responsible for reviewing licensing papers to determine if required items have been received in order to process new agents or reinstatement of agents according to Home Office guidelines.  Duties including requesting items not received from agents, verifying information received to ensure all paperwork has been submitted by using the PC file research, ordering investigation reports when required and submitting appointments electronically.  Other duties include completing necessary paperwork for contracting appointment, scanning agent files, updating the system and communication via email or other correspondence regarding the completion to the Branch Agent or General Agent.  Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications:
  • 1 year of office experience required
  • 1 year of insurance experience preferred; licensing experience a plus
  • Good number and name recognition skills required
  • Type 40-50 wpm accurately
  • Proficient use of the PC including Outlook, Word, and Excel a must.  Other software applications helpful.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Must have good reasoning ability to analyze information and make logical conclusions.
  • Excellent organization skills with attention to detail a must.
  • Regular and predication attendance required.
Working Conditions:
Heavy PC usage.  Occasionally bends/stoops and reaches above shoulder level.  Rarely squats, kneels or pushes/pulls.  Occasionally lifts floor to waist, carries and pushes up to 10 pounds.  Must be able to meet department production quotas.
