The Group Administrator is
responsible for billing and collecting premium from Groups and Third
Party Administrators.
This role is also responsible for accounting
of payment postings and reconciliation of general ledger suspense
accounts, as well as basic administrative functions.
Primary duties & responsibilities consist of:

Billing and Collecting monthly premium for Groups and
Third Party Administrators (TPA)

Posting group premium payments through Mainframe and
Part D systems.

Daily balancing and reconciliation of group premium
payments through general ledger journals.

Processing enrollment and disenrollment requests from
Group or TPA in accordance with company and government
guidelines.

Compiling and working reports daily, weekly, and monthly

Historical suspense account reconciliation.

Identify problems and resolve them timely as well as
reporting the problems when necessary.

Prepare ad-hoc reports when needed.

Provide support to the sales efforts of Special Markets.

Manage special projects and work with third parties, as
needed.

Assisting with New Group set up including testing and
production.

Daily communication with Group or TPA’s, as well as
other company personnel.

Provide updates to outside vendors (Medco and Centers
for Medicare Services).
