This position will administer and coordinate quoting
and sales activities between Group Sales Representatives and the
Company’s Actuarial Department.
Perform detailed financial analyses and special projects for the
Senior Vice President of Group Sales/Special Markets.
Assist with administration tasks for Special Markets as needed.
Primary duties & responsibilities consist of:

With Group Sales Representatives, interpret insurance
product needs of employer group clients, participate in
the preparation of insurance quotes and gain internal
approval of sales quotes.

Evaluate underwriting risks of new and existing groups,
when necessary, and make well-founded recommendations to
the senior officer as well as Group Sales
Representatives.

Perform and interpret detailed financial analyses, as
required, to support the retention of existing group
clients.
Requires interaction with actuaries, third party clients
and consultants.

Develop and prepare financial and statistical reports
for Group Sales and Special Markets on a regular basis
that adheres to best practices, quality standards,
deadlines, controls and proper procedures.

With Compliance Department, review and understand policy
and coverage documents prior to issue to ensure that
Company and Group expectations are met before the
product is delivered.

During peak periods, participate in a support role as a
team member to achieve customer service and sales goals
of the business sold through Special Markets.

Investigate and provide structured solutions to errors
or issues that provide long-term results aligned with
company goals.

Report progress on activities performed on a weekly,
monthly, quarterly and annual basis, as requested.

Prepare ad-hoc reports when needed.

Participate and manage special projects and work with
third parties, as needed.

| Education & Work Experience: |
- College degree in marketing or
finance
- Must have the ability to effectively
perform and interpret technical financial analyses
- Must have the ability to effectively
perform underwriting responsibilities, as needed, to
support Group Sales activities
- Experience working the insurance
industry group sales a plus

| Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: |

Must have a
desire to provide high quality service and be innovative
in problem solving.

Must be able
to work with third parties and present the company well
as a sales/underwriting team member.
- Must have strong people skills with
the ability to motivate and promote a positive working
environment.
- Must be able to maintain
confidentiality with employees and third parties.
- Proficiency in the use of computer
software.
Advanced MS Excel and Word skills a must.
- Must have excellent Time Management
skills with the ability to multitask between various
tasks and issues and maintaining control of all tasks at
hand.
- Excellent communication skills
required (i.e. written, verbal, listening, etc.).
- Strong sales, analytical and
technical knowledge required.
