This position is responsible for heavy phone contact
with policyholders, providers and interested third parties.
Explain policy coverage, claim status, and/or claim payment and other
policy information using the PC. Complete "Telecommunication
Referral Forms" necessary to refer to other departments/companies for
handling or input necessary information into the online messaging system
to refer to other departments/companies for handling. Determine from requested mail or microfilm calls that
may require special or additional handling. Review daily phone
reports, record and total production information and rate performance on
a weekly basis. Review and maintain new and revised procedures
regarding policy information. Keep manuals updated with current
information. Maintain daily notes and call tallies for future
reference. Other duties as assigned.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications:
Excellent alpha and number recognition skills
Proficient verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated mathematical abilities
Basic PC skills
Good reasoning ability to analyze information and make logical
conclusions
At least one year of office experience preferred.
Telecommunication experience a plus
Life and health insurance experience desired
Regular and predictable attendance require
Working Conditions:
Hours of Operation - United American:
Monday-Friday 7:00am-8:00 pm; Saturday & Sunday 7:00am-7:00pm.
Globe Life: Monday-Friday 7:30 am-4:30pm
Heavy phone and pc usage,
sitting for extended periods of time and frequently reaches above
shoulder level. Fast-paced environment.
