In South Dakota, diabetes coverage became a
mandated benefit for the Good Sense Plan on July 1. A
special letter will be sent to affected Agents notifying them of new rates. The
rate card dated 4/99 can no longer be used. Any new South Dakota Good Sense
Plan issues will reflect the revised rate structure.

The Lifestyle Annuity new money interest rate for July
is 5.25%. The new rate for August will be 5.35%.
