A special mailing regarding ProCare Medicare Supplement rates for new business and renewal rate information has been mailed to General Agents in Utah and South Dakota.

4 Interest Rate Set
The Lifestyle Annuity new money interest rate for July is 5.15%. Rates will continue to be reviewed and adjusted accordingly.

4 2001 Medicare Guide
The 2001 Medicare Guides are now available. You can order your guide by contacting Agent Supply at (800)285-3676.

4 HCFA Update
The Health Care Financing Administration announced on May 31, 2001 that it would extend the deadline for providers to submit final data in order to participate in Medicare+Choice during 2002, from July 2, 2001 to Sept. 7, 2001. This means managed care providers have 11 more weeks to decide whether they will continue to serve Medicare beneficiaries in 2002.

4 Attn: Utah Agents
Effective July 1, 2001, ProCare Plan D is now available to sell in Utah. UA previously suspended sales of Plan D in March of this year.

4 Attn: Oklahoma Agents
Effective immediately, Oklahoma has switched from a ProCare MA-12 standard application to a state special application. Updated app/brochures are available through Agent Supply at (800)285-3676.
